Hi, I’m Holly, the proud owner of Regency Grooming, based in Gotherington.
Since 2014, I’ve been offering one-to-one, bespoke, professional dog grooming for all breeds, with a special love for those that need regular haircuts. My priority is making every dog feel calm, comfortable, and cared for while leaving them looking their very best.
Why I Do What I Do
Before opening Regency Grooming, I wore many hats — from running an eBay business selling edible cake photos, to working in horse care, to helping run a puppy training school in Cheltenham. These roles gave me invaluable knowledge in dog behaviour, training, and customer service, all of which I bring into the grooming salon every day.
Becoming a groomer felt like a natural calling. I’d always enjoyed grooming my own dogs, and when the opportunity arose, I sold my eBay business, trained professionally, and never looked back. From the start, I knew I wanted to focus on low-stress, one-to-one grooming — because every dog deserves time, patience, and care.
My Approach
My clients often tell me they appreciate not just the quality of the haircut, but also the calm, low-stress environment I create for their pets. My communication style is optimistic, caring, and “can-do” — I work closely with owners to achieve the look they want while keeping their dog’s comfort the top priority.
I especially enjoy welcoming puppies to their very first grooms and guiding them through the start of their grooming journey. At the other end of the spectrum, I love working with seniors, adapting techniques and involving owners when needed so their pets stay comfortable and happy.
Qualifications & Experience

- Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming
- Dog First Aid trained
- Emmi-Pet ultrasonic toothbrush training
- BSc (Hons) in Equine Science (2:1)
- Around 10 years helping run and teach at a puppy training school
I also regularly attend grooming shows and events, and I’m passionate about continuing to learn — whether it’s new grooming techniques or ways to improve the client experience.
A Little About Me
Outside of grooming, I live with my husband, two young children, our dog River (a spirited little Havanese), two guinea pigs, and my 30-year-old pony, Mino, who I’ve had for 25 years. Mino and I regularly competed nationally in Dressage — a memory that still makes me smile. Animals have always been at the heart of my life, and that shines through in the way I care for every dog who visits me.
